device on a Sony camcorder that has the Active Interface Shoe (AIS). It is currently
the lowest profile AIS adapter available. This adapter does not provide electrical or audio

A Sony HC1 has a mic input jack
but not a standard accessory shoe for an external mic. The Canon MB-100 mic boom has
an accessory shoe and accepts an external mic.
There may be a way to attach the Canon MB-100 to the side-threaded
Bogen slide plate assembly
Or there may be a way to attach the Canon MB-100 to the
Shot
Rod™ camera mounting plate
Note: A Bogen slide plate can be attached to the Sony HC1
and yet does not block the battery release button
